Thanks Alan – I guess I should have said “not for everyone at every point in their life”. Not sure that a decision to do something as freaky and odd as university is best made aged 17. Maybe for a lot of kids, training/getting a job is their first step and then personal exploration comes after… I dunno.

“Daft Edu” has legs though… sets lots of robots rocking for me. What would a ‘Daft Edu’ look like? How would a three year, transformative course get as much media zing as five weeks of videos from a millionaire who works at google? Hmmm….

Not fallow at all, I am along for the metaphoric ride to Daft Edu, along with “I want it to be messy, difficult, unfashionable and not for everyone.” is a riff I’ve been humming with what seems like a move to package learning into bright colorful candy bites. I do need to chew over that “not for everyone”- I understand the sentiment but some will take it as exclusionary (which I guess is not what you are suggesting).
